Mobile library 1 Specifications
Hydraulic stabiliser legs give stability when the pods are extended from the vehicle. The vehicle has inbuilt audio and visual alarms to alert the driver when these are down and insure that the vehicle is not driven off while they are extended.
The exterior panels are made of fibreglass which is rust proof and has a carbon core offering excellent thermal qualities.
Shelving is a combination of stainless steel and powder coated frames which do not scratch, wear or dent as easily as conventional timber.
Mobile 1 has four public access computers and two staff computers. Two of the public access computers as well as the staff computers have internet connection when using landlines. There is a shared printer. The staff PCs have docket printers to give customers a list of items issued along with the return dates.
Three air conditioners and an automatic door ensure comfortable temperatures year round. Both vehicles have a generator, staff toilet, and kitchen facilities which make them fully self-sufficient. There is an audio system for music.
Mobile library 2 Specifications
Mobile Library 2 has one extending pod as is a smaller rigid vehicle which gives greater access to confined areas such as retirement homes.
There is one staff computer.
Three air conditioners and an automatic door ensure comfortable temperatures year round. A generator, staff toilet and kitchen facilities make it self-sufficient. There is an audio system for music.
